September 14, 2024: We started the day very strong with a lot of determination. Ako sprinted through the 15K and left all of us behind. He might have been under the impression that the 15k was a warmup for muay thai fights at the finish line. Danny was strong pushing way too hard! To the point that he called on people’s aunties in vain a few times, he got rope burn on his calves and electrical burn on his 🍑. He was so overwhelmed that when he found himself alone in the pipe-crawl, he thought he could let it all out and he did!! They had to close that pipe down for the rest of the day! Shannon and Chantel finished strong actually completing every single challenge leading the front line. Amir and and Shannon overcame their fear of height (AMAZING)!!! Kru Arash was kruing the heck out of the Kingdom Warriors pushing everyone to the finish line and at some point all of the other 300 contestants. To the point that he had to be reminded by Danny that he didn’t work there at Tough Mudder! To his defense it was a very hot day. Burak and his beautiful soul smelled the beautiful flowers all the way through the 15K. He actually found a red carnation on the trail and carried it in his hair through all the mud-crawls with so much dedication. He then passed the red carnation to Sara who had a sprained ankle to lift her spirit and get her to push through and she did!!! Big Nick was the wind beneath my wings whenever I couldn’t reach, so pretty much for every single challenge. Sushy attempted every single challenge with so much pride we were all in awe. We were so impressed that he actually finished every water challenge twice but we found out he did it because he had to pee so then we weren’t impressed. ATLAS DJed 4 hours of tunes during the car ride, won the Persian Rambo title at the challenge and the King of Music title in my heart. Josie ran a steady course overall with the exception of a few hiccups when she questioned her life choices: why she doesn’t live in Richmond Hill and isn’t a member at Kingdom. Vince pretty much showed off his recent training in Thailand for the entire 15K and explained to me how he ran uphill both ways to and from the gym while he was in Thailand, which I’m still trying to understand (seriously, how?). Andy and his girl were the power couple setting an example! And last but not least Kaan pushed through holding a shisha and at the end of the day invited all the starving warriors to the kebab restaurant that had ran out of kebabs.
